Soooo, one fashion trend I'm loving right now, is denim, not so much the bright blue double denim that the likes of Rihanna and The Kardashians can pull off, but the subtle wear of it. In this blog post, I'll talk about casual easy dressing with denim, looks for both girls and guys, and also how to style it with a lehenga. Keep reading :P

Outfit deets:
Red Lehenga: Jayalakshmi, India, Trivandrum
Black/green Lehenga: Jayalakshmi, India, Trivandrum
Blue Denim Jacket: Mums old jacket (sorry no idea)
Grey Denim Jacket: Debenhams
This definitely has to be one of my favourite looks, I actually found the inspiration for the whole lehenga and denim jacket idea from the costume designer, Sathya, in the Tamil film, Romeo Juliet (2015 Lakshman) from Hansika's Character, how beautiful does she look? Its so elegant yet casual at the same time. Perfect for if you need something light to throw on over your asian attire on a breezy day. I'm so in love with how all the colours. 😍
To tone this look down even more, a plain t shirt with lehenga bottoms and a denim jacket is such a simple outfit. The gold tones work well with the light blue which counteract to make it more casual along with the plain t shirt.
CASUAL LOOK
Denim Jackets in particular are a statement piece in which I believe everyone should have in their wardrobe, its an easy way to spice up a simple outfit for both girls and guys.
For guys (thanks for my two wonderful models 😂) : Layering a long line tee over a simple hoody with black jeans and white trainers! Can't go wrong with this look. With the light blue jacket and the white shoes it gives the outfit more colour.
LOOK 1:

However if you wanted more of a dark, simple look swap over a blue denim jacket to a black one, still keeping the same outfit, minus the colour, leaving a monochrome look.

Look 2:

Keeping it pretty similar to the first look, however, changing the black jeans to dark grey biker jeans, which are in style right now, especially for guys. This leaves the outfit still looking casual and pretty dark, where the main point of the outfit would be the white nikes.
LOOK 3:
Can't go wrong with a white graphic tee, black jeans and white trainers. Adding a blue denim jacket with shearling fur creates a look!
Look 4:
Continuing to keep it simple again with minimal colours, biker jeans, black tee with camo detailing, white trainers and a black denim jacket to keep the outfit matching throughout.
Blue Denim Jacket: River Island
Blue Shearling Denim Jacket: Asos
Black Denim Jacket: Zara Man
For girls: Dark jeans, cute top and a denim jacket equals the perfect outfit!
Look 1:
A cute halter top, with black ripped jeans, heels is one way to dress up an outfit, as well as wearing a few statement jewellery pieces. However having the denim jacket evens out the casual side of it.
Outfit deets:
Top - Miss Selfridges
Jeans - River Island

Look 2:
Thanks for this beauty for modelling for me too! Wearing a cute mesh top, dark blue jeans and trainers creates an effortless look! so casual and comfy.
Outfit deets:

Look 3:
Same outfit as look 1, taking off the heels and jewellery to make it a more casual, comfy outfit, chuck on a trucker cap and sunnies and you're all set to go.
Stay beautiful,
